A-20B Upper Cowl Flaps Not Functioning Within Multiplayer

The A-20B upper cowl flaps are giving me fits. These flaps must be closed prior to take-off in the A-20B or bad vibration quickly results.

Specifically, my A-20B cowl flaps will not function while flying within multiplayer mode. I have them set to an axis on my joystick controller and, oddly, they do work just fine when flying in single player mode.  But in multiplayer, notta.  I've tried to re-assign the key setting for these flaps to a joystick key, a combo of keys, and a different controller axis while in multiplayer, but simply cannot get them to respond. Another weird thing is that I actually did have them respond correctly for one multiplayer mission, but for all subsequent missions, it's a no-go.

I'm curious if there is a config file setting or other feature that may require editing? Also curious if anyone else has seen this problem with the A-20B?

Thanks for any assistance,

EKat

Have you hit 0 to SELECT ALL ENGINES? They won't work if you have hit 1, then 2 to start engines. They have to have that little box around the numbers to make sure all are selected.

Yep, that was it. I need to select all engines to get the A-20B's upper cowl flaps to respond.  Thanks for your help Schneemann!

Also in a somewhat related to this topic. When you switch to gunner view with the inlet cowl flap fully open, the gunner doesn't experience any vibration. Is this intended or not?

Had the same problem again today, filled in a bug report:

Not a bug. There's only one lever to control those flaps, so both engines have to be selected.
