begun Posted May 8, 2018 Posted May 8, 2018 Decided to get a bit more serious with IL-2 BOS. I have just bought a Saitek x52 and 1'm trying to work out how to get the IL-2 profile working. I have loaded the IL-2 profile via the x52 profile selection tool (icon in status bar is showing green background and IL2_v2 is displayed in controller MFD); however, when I go into IL-2 and try to start flying, none of the HOTAS buttons seem to work except for the throttle slider and pitch, roll, yaw on the joystick. Do I need to go into the IL-2 settings and map each HOTAS button manually? I thought having profiles would mean not having to go through this laborious process. I feel like I must be missing something. Any help would be much appreciated. 2

I What "IL-2 profile"? In Saitek donwload page are not profile for IL-2 Battle of Stalingrad. http://www.saitek.com/uk/down/profiles.html "IL-2" there refer do IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 - with very different controls assignment. Then you guys need ask for someone that have create a profile for IL-2 Battle of ... series to share with yours. Or create your own profile in Saitek SST, considering BoS issue with combo keys (e.g. Alt+A) that require delays - what result in more work than just assign buttons/HAT's/axes direct in game controls. https://www.saitek.com/manuals/SST_Manual_En.pdf http://www.saitek.com/manuals/st/SST_Manual_EN.html Edited May 12, 2018 by Sokol1 1

FlyingH Posted May 14, 2018 Posted May 14, 2018 The profile you´ve set up for your X52 is for the stick perse. Now you need to map it into the games mapping and save it there. Then you´ll be able to use it in game. MInd you there are some pequliarities with the games mapping, such as if you use modifiers, shift, ctrl, alt you may find it not working. you´ll need to add delays to the modifiers to make the game catch the combined presses! That can be timeconsuming and frustrating but when you get the hang of it you´ll be good to go. I think if you search the forum you´ll find some tips on how to.
