Bombs not exploding

Hi All, Not sure if this has been posted before or has been reported as a bug ?  but i'm flying a LA-5 ser-8 on the Stalingrad front careers, mission- attack a road convoy, attacked from different altitudes and at different angles [ unlimited ammo]  and not one of the bombs dropped exploded, i have them set at a two second delay. 

 

Went to quick missions flew the exact plane type with the same loadout and no problem all bombs exploded !!    thought i would mention it

Try dropping your bombs from higher up. If you don't give the bombs enough time in the air, 2-5 seconds flight time, they won't arm and consequently won't detonate. Unless you are on a very shallow drop, almost to the point of it being level, and at high speeds you usually need to be around 200 m altitude for a good drop.

5 sec delay always explodes. 2 sec delay does not (when dropping really low).

But, well, you'll have to drop that bomb in such a matter that the explosion will go off on or below the target. If said target is moving, that's quite a tricky thing.
