Are there more Eastern Front flyable aircraft types planned?

Any Pacific expansion also I am Shure was mentioned above, would potentially open up a China Front scenario and that has a lot of pre war and early war potential for plane match ups using some new types and variants of existing types for Russia, even really a very late war match up is doable, Ki-84's and La-7's...

We need the Do17/217

100% with you.

Jason, although all would much appreciate the later Yaks etc. please do not forget the real dream of EVERYONE here, which is the I-153 / Hs. 123 match-up.

Kick-starter / forward payments if the PnL is in doubt...?

You probably didn't get (or it wasn't as obvious) the sarcasm.
I'm well aware and actually try to constantly remind of the many scenarios other than the publicly well known but pretty much Pacific Ocean Area-centric ones.
Unfortunately/Amazingly that's what most, including a considerable amount of people generally interested in aviation history, basically solely think about.

That's why I initially commented: "Whether or not this is a thing is irrelevant anyways. Asiatic-Pacific-Theatre does not have to rely on any aircraft build by Northrop-Grumman or its predecessors to work just fine."

That is correct...all of it :good:  It went right past me 1st time around...sorry.

I would love to fly both those planes

I have always had a thing for the HS 126 as well

Po-2, Li-2, Yak-9, Yak-3.

Wonder what will germans get. Or i missed it or they never told us, really wonder what will be premium one next to po-2 and li-2. ;)

Presumably the German late-war aircraft get released in Bodenplatte.

Why would folk expect a German collector just because the Russians are getting one? Why not a Brit aircraft or an American?

Plus with the business model the devs have adopted, I don't think they want to do theaters where one of the sides already have all the aircrafts made so they have nothing new to sell.

Yeah, there is still plenty of stuff to add and things to do. I'd like to see Seelow, possibly Warsaw and especially something involving the Courland Pocket.

The potential for additional collectors aircraft is pretty immense.

Because it was always like this? And because british or usa is lend lease which counts as russian.

Do you necesarily need one Axis plane for compensation if one Allied is added? Serious question.

Yes.

Yes.

I really don't think there's going to be any German aircraft released alongside the Po-2, and probably not the Li-2 either. There just haven't been enough standalone collector planes released for you to identify this as a pattern. The third party dev seems to be doing one plane at a time and I wager the team is too busy with BoBo to be doing more collector planes.

I dont think the Russians recieved typhoons did they? Or mosquitoes? What about a p51c? What about filling out the wester allies instead of giving the German only fliers another aircraft they'll probably just complain about, just because Russia is getting one?

Ju87B would make a fine collectors plane

There was no Axis equivalent to the Yak-1b when it was released, and still no Allied equivalent to the Ju 52.

Although it looks optimistic that we might get the Li-2 now.

What are you talking about? Where did you take this planes from? No one here said anything about them and you randomly put them in your arguments... Also where do you want them to have? There is no BoBP yet, and you already talk about planes for west front? Sure, everyone would love getting premium planes for expansions that does not even exist yet. Also this whole topic is about EASTERN FRONT, you know, russia? So we kind of talk about russian and german planes here?

I think it's obvious that devs would do 2 planes, not saying in the same day but if russia gets premium one then next one would be german. It would just suck if one side would keep getting new planes and other would be completly ignored. I am sure devs would never do that and there would always be balance between sides getting new planes. On the west front, if germany will get premium plane it wont be used in ostfront that take place in 1941-43 (and BoBP 44-45) so there will be like 2 german factions. Still balanced.

I would rather see USSR and Germany getting planes in sets, then one British plane set. Mosquito, Typhoon, Hurricane and another Spitfire.

Remember, fleshing out the British also fleshes out the Poles, Canadians and others.

Of course there will be other Eastern Front planes. We have no plans to abandon that type of content even with current announcements. The Po-2 and Li-2 are already announced. We know  you want the Yak-9 and Yak-3 etc.

The best way to do another Eastern Front add-on would be "The Manchurian Strategic Operation." August 1945. That would solve several issues. They'll be out of German airplanes by that time. No problem. We finally get Japanese machines. The KI-43 II, and the Ki84 were the principle fighters used by Japan in the fighting. The twin engined Ki-45, too. New Russian planes. They threw their latest and greatest at the Japanese. The Russians would have their Lagg-7 and Yak-9. And a real treat. They also flew their American built P-63's there. Great plane set!

New map, new planes. People, like me, who would love to fly missions in the Pacific could use the Japanese planes over the Kuban map. I wouldn't mind at all. I think it looks just like photos I've seen of New Guinea!

If they do another Russian expansion, this just seems like a no-brainer. Great compromise if there isn't going to be Pacific sim for a long time.
