Panzerlang Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 Has anyone else lost theirs? I'm not actually sure they were ever there though but it's been a couple of weeks since I last played. Suddenly I noticed my cockpit was smashed up but there were no audible cues it had happened.
dburne Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 I don't think I have ever heard hit sounds on my cockpit, however I was not able to join in on early access until like week 3 or 4 due to my schedule.
J4SCrisZeri Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 didn't happen to me, but I noticed this today: I was quite close to a LaGG-3 and pounding it with my cannons, I clearly could hear the impacts of my bullets on the enemy metal plates as parts and debris fell of that plane. Is it just my impression, or is it really a great sound management by BoS? It was amazing. 1

I'm not crazy! And by the way, loud hit sounds on terrain when you shoot at it with cannons from low altitude. It's like a thunder, very nice.
ram0506 Posted January 13, 2014 Posted January 13, 2014 You can also hear the impacts of bullets on the tanks when straffing them and getting very close. But there is no hit sound when your own plane is hit. Hasn`t been there since the first early access session. It still has to be implemented.
J4SCrisZeri Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 If other impacts sound so effective and impressive, I expect amazing stuff when the guys will implement hits on our planes (i.e. different materials sounds: canopy glass, metal, wood, our body. One can dream, right?)
Finkeren Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 There is definately hit sounds, when your own plane is hit, they're just exactly the same as when you hit another plane and aren't amplified to account for the fact, that you're sitting inside the plane that's being hit. Therefore they sound very muted and are easy to miss. I have heard them on several occations while flying the LaGG (figures - I'm hardly ever hit in the Bf 109).
LLv34_Flanker Posted January 17, 2014 Posted January 17, 2014 S! Hit sounds on own plane are a bit too low. Many pilots refer hits being as loud bangs, rattle etc. and could not be missed. Not sure if I even should hear my bullets hitting an another plane some distance away though. We will see how the sound engine will evolve before release.
