=gRiJ=Roman- Posted May 2, 2018 Posted May 2, 2018 (edited) This could be a relative fast expansion of the sim (or at least faster than many others). It could use all the plane sets made so far and maybe add some missing ones to fill in some gaps. Basically, a new map with four seasons and MANY possibilities ahead. You get four battles in three years for a single map! It could even be used for tank battles and street fighting. =FEW=Hauggy Posted May 3, 2018 Posted May 3, 2018 (edited) Could be interesting as a primarily tank expansion maybe honestly since the next eastern front area we get is Kursk Im already happy. Id be a lot more interested in some early eastern front battles like maybe the siege of Leningrad so we get new planes that are badly missing and that would allow for more plane diverse scenarios around Kuban and the Caucasus aswel as Moscow. I doubt we have the fitting planeset for the first battle which would be quite interesting to me actually. Im not sure the first Soviet counter offensive is that interesting as it was meant as a diversion to bait more Germans reinforcements in the South to relieve Moscow but the Soviets broke their teeths on Army Group South preparing for Fall Blau, correct me if I'm wrong but the battles fought in this area didn't last that long and more importantly they were not decisive for the entire war were they? Also the German attempt to take back and hold the city in 43 was short lived. Also how big was the role of aviation? Please explain that to me as as I don't have much knowledge about those 4 battles and only heard about the second and the fourth ones. Apart from a map i'm pretty sure this would require a bunch of new ground units and planes to cover all the battles fought there and Im not even mentionning the unique buildings and research needed for the devs to create something decent. I don't want to crush your dreams but this seems very very unlikely to me, I think the best we can hope for at this point is the Kursk (Tank game) map to be big enough to fly planes above it and some new early and late war premium planes. InProgress Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 This and Leningrad would be the best expansions, starting in 1941 up till the end, we would be able to use probably every plane we have now. This would be the longest career and I think both Leningrad and Kharkov would be just the best and most interesting expansions, changing planes for new models during years long career
DD_Arthur Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Voted 'not really interested'. Personally, I've had my fill of the eastern front for the time being. 1
Trooper117 Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 Murmansk... Hurricanes, then I'm in... this, no.
=gRiJ=Roman- Posted June 10, 2018 Author Posted June 10, 2018 Well, we just need a map and basically, it's done. They should sell stand alone maps too. 2
Trooper117 Posted June 10, 2018 Posted June 10, 2018 More to it than that... the map needs to be populated for the correct time of each battle... then it needs to be integrated into the campaign system. Lots and lots of hard work there alone.

Expanding your career with a selected squadron say from Dubno to Moscow to Kharkov to Stalingrad to Kursk to Krim to Romania etc. They could easily fill the gaps and squeeze in one or the other plane.
Jade_Monkey Posted June 16, 2018 Posted June 16, 2018 I'd rather go to other fronts and let the Eastern front take a break (for planes). I'm ok with eastern front for tanks.
