Map causing FPS drop

When I bring up the cockpit map, either large or small, I suffer an immediate 15 FPS drop and turn off the map and FPS goes back up 15 FPS.

The HUD being on does not affect the FPS and the problem started only after the latest hotfix.

Is anyone else experiencing this or have a solution??????

Turning the HUD on has always had an impact on my performance (VR). Seems to be a little better than it used to be, but still there.
