Wolf8312 Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) Does anyone know how to get potentiometers to work properly with BOS? I mean so for example if I set them to flaps, and wanted to turn from 0 to 100 percent as the situation dictated. Anyone know if it's possible to do this? Cant seem to get it to work... Sokol1 Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) For flaps is not possible use potentiometer - game controls don't allow use analog axis (pot' , magnetic sensors) for this control, only keys or joy buttons. Similar to trims - only for "Stabilizer Adjust" (Bf 109, Mc 202, Ju-52) is possible use an analog axis (pot'...), for "pitch, roll, aileron trim" is not possible, only keys/buttons/HAT's. You can use 'encoder', that is physically similar to an pot' - an "rotarie", that instead move an analog axis, press sequentially a button when turned clockwise and other button counterclockwise. https://s3-sa-east-1.amazonaws.com/robocore-lojavirtual/829/images/829_1_H.png?20180130082158 For use encoder your USB game controller need firmware with support for encoder. ST_Pirato Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 I use Encoders and they work well enough for planes using Trim tabs. But they respond to slow for planes with Stabilizer, like the 109 and the MC 202. For those Planes I rather use buttons for now. I'm using Leo Bodnar boards where my Encoders are connected, maybe other Controler boards work better in this case.
