=FEW=Hauggy Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I found myself having some screen tearing when moving my head horizontally, I activated Vsync in game nothing, tried to force it using Nvidia inspector nothing... Anyone else having the same isssue?
THERION Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I don't have any issue with Vsync - make sure you have either Vsync on in NCP OR in the game, but not on both. I did some fiddling around with my settings some times ago and before 3.001 I had Vsync set to "fast" in the NCP, but off in the game + full screen. After the update I had to change all from: - Vsync on in the game and off in NCP - Full screen off Now with these settings I don't have any trouble concerning screen tearing, stutter and fps drops. Cheerio
Rjel Posted April 28, 2018 Posted April 28, 2018 I use the Fast Vsync in Nvidia Control Panel with 391.35 drivers. It's worked great for me.
=FEW=Hauggy Posted April 28, 2018 Author Posted April 28, 2018 (edited) I tried different combinations and nothing seems to work... Edited April 28, 2018 by =FEW=Hauggy
Art-J Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) Maybe it's like in DCS? When game runs in borderless windowed instead of fullscreen, the VSync doesn't enable? Do you have the fullscreen option turned on? I do, plus framerate limiter disabled, VSync turned on in game ("app controlled" in NVCpl), and it works. Edited April 29, 2018 by Art-J
Lemon Posted April 29, 2018 Posted April 29, 2018 (edited) hi, have you tried ingame frame limiter to 60 with driver Vsync on ? I personally use RTSS with ingame Vsynch, (nothing like this to have constant frametimes ) first you find exact refresh rate of monitor, and you set RTSS to refresh rate minus 0.001 - 0.007 via profile file and you got the best frametimes as possible with minimum lag, if you adjust maximum pre rendered frame via driver settings to 1, https://www.testufo.com/refreshrate https://www.blurbusters.com/howto-low-lag-vsync-on/ (note, if you are tempted to try the RTSS, you need to edit 1 file in the RTSS config via note pad to be able to have fractional frame limiter, (60.000) they explain it in the 2 nd link above) Spoiler 10 hours ago, Art-J said: Maybe it's like in DCS? I think you got the desktop buffering when window borderless and you need to not check the option ( disable full screen optimization) to enable window aero vsynch from destop to make it work with no ingame and driver vsycnh , but I think this is relative to window game mode, but I m not sure, I just read a bit I can be wrong, I just know it is all linked together Spoiler Edited April 29, 2018 by Lemon
