Jaws2002 Posted January 14, 2014 Posted January 14, 2014 yeah well maybe i didnt waste so much time as i think in my nautic engines engineering but i have a question isnt it different the plain water injenction to water-methanol injenction? werent there planes which just used water injection? all the points in that video are fullfill by the water whats the point of methanol then? You mix the water with methanol so it doesn't freeze.
II./JG27_Rich Posted January 14, 2014 Author Posted January 14, 2014 (edited) When engines get too hot they don't run well. The cooler the fuel the better. That's why Chrysler made the Thermoquad carberator with the plastic centre, too keep the fuel cooler. You also notice that drag race times are better in cooler weather around 70' F not 90' F.
