Launcher not shutting down

My launcher has stopped shutting down. Have to close it with the task manager. How do I fix this?

Don't know. But there's a hotfix (for the game in general) being applied. I'm dl - ing it now. It may have something to do with it.

After you start the launcher (where you click "Play"), do the following:

1. Click on the "Settings" tab.

2. Uncheck "Seed when downloaded".

3. Check "Prefer web distribution".

 

You may need to follow the procedure above after an update now and then.

 

I believe "Seed when downloaded" allows you to contribute to a pool of available sources that help other people download updates faster. Perhaps that is why the launcher stays running. Someone more knowledgeable than me on the topic may have a better explanation.

if what Jim say don't work , I wondering if running it as administrator could help.. worth a try
