Aiming help- no help...

Ok I admit it ; occasionally i have used 'Aiming Help" dropping bombs in the past, ut since the last update to BoK ,it has been little to no help.before the golden circle would appear inside the aircraft.Very nice in VR, but recently it just barely appears outside the plane or in outside views, & virtually impossible to use except in some diving circumstances.Obviously I don't know why this has occured or if there is a solution ( aside from being a better Stuka pilot I mean...)

There's no reason for you to be using bombing assist on a stuka. Just practice your diving skills, put the gun reticle on the target and drop the load. Even with a semi dive/level bombing, the stuka is very accurate! Practice, Practice, Practice. As for the VR issue, i have VR, but i've never used the bombing assist feature so i could not help you out there, cheers!

I've used the reticle before but wound up just imagining it and haven't used it since 3.001. If I'm understanding this correctly the reticle doesn't appear where you expect it to, e.g. on the floor during level flight? 

 

The reticle is CCIP so it kinda makes sense for it to be most readable during a dive bomb than level flight. But then again before I stopped using it the reticle still worked on level bombers like the He-111 so your problem is pretty weird indeed. Maybe share screenshots of the problem so we can see.

 

I pretty much stopped using the reticle because it kept recomputing and jumping around at the worst possible times and kept throwing me off specially during violent maneuvers. I ended up just taking advantage of the bomb timer so I don't blow myself up when I drop the bombs really close to the target. But please do share more details about the issue if this is your way of playing and would like to continue as is.

I don't think you need any assist on ju87, it's super easy to aim. Also not every hit must be on target ;P Adds more realism to miss sometimes.

thanks for you comments...I'll try to do a few screenshots later today.I am a bit chasined  to have used the stuks as my example- I'm actually not bad without aiming help with the venerable bird.-, tho I will never have the hours of training the genteleman above had. i actually enjoy using it in low level bombing shipswith the A-20 that does not have a bomberdier nose position & trying to use a bombsight is virtually useless.. I am equally sure that some broght wag will tell me if I only learned skip bombing I wouldn'y need aiming help either.True but it would speed along the learning curve...

The thing is that the only 'dive bombers' in the game as it stands are the Ju-87, Ju-88 and Pe-2. The other bombers were designed as level bombers or at best to drop from a shallow dive.
