Requiem Posted February 20, 2022 Author Posted February 20, 2022 New Hornet video today...this one gets you to the carrier, the actual approach comes later. Combining them in one super long video is too much imo. Although the translations are not entirely correct, they will help us to find out more things. The first 8 videos of basic principles of flight, if they are with subtitles and everything is perfectly understood, although if you could not or did not feel comfortable doing it anyway, thank you very much, watching you also learn. great job and have a nice weekend Yeah the first 8 videos a community member submitted captions in Spanish. I've added an option for automatic translation for the videos so let me know if you can see them and if they're accurate or not 1

The translations are quite correct and it is well understood. Thank you very much again sir

Requiem Posted February 8, 2023 Author Posted February 8, 2023 Here's how to operate the Mosquito. What you learn here should translate to the Il-2 Mosquito other than some differences in takeoff behaviour. These use my flow guides so you can download them here if you need to. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3328889/ 5 4 4

Tiberia Posted March 11, 2024 Posted March 11, 2024 Hey Requiem. Your videos have been my learning method for IL2. Thanks for making everything so understandable and expanding my mind! The BFM videos especially helped! I hope if I go for a real flying license someday that I have instructors like you! 1

These new videos have annotations, which are buttons I've added to the video that you can click on. They are pretty obvious, so if you wanted to watch a certain section, replay a section, or skip something altogether, just click on it and you will be taken where you need to go. Also, just for your info: Subscribers get emails as soon as the videos are made public and I update these sorts of posts later on, so if you like them please subscribe because it gives me an idea of people's interest. I enjoy the process of making them and knowing people benefit from them is very satisfying. Anyway, I hope you like them and feedback is very much encouraged on inaccuracies/improvements/suggestions etc. I have a long list to make, but if there is anything in particular you want to see let me know and I'll see what I can do. Angle Off Charts with Aiming Rings can be downloaded from the link below (updated 2 June 2018): https://www.dropbox.com/s/s4kl8jgkouw8wqb/Angle%20Off%20Charts.pdf?dl=0 Content Examples: Latest Video Releases 8 Feb 2023: Six Degrees of Freedom TrackIR Profile February 2021: https://www.dropbox.com/s/88gpqowjde5u831/RequiemFeb21.zip?dl=0 Place the file here - C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\NaturalPoint\TrackIR 5\Profiles This is a new TIR profile from me which I've tested in in BoS, CloD, and RoF, and I'm happy that with how it performs in all three sims. The big thing I've done is the implementation of slight deadzones towards the end of head movement to avoid you moving your head far enough to get the view stuck in position at the end of its range. It's hard to describe what I mean, but it's basically a hard deadzone mixed in with a soft deadzone to make looking around feel more natural. This is basically a whole new profile across all six axes, but I'll list the changes to three of the most important axes below: Yaw - You will notice a change in the 'yaw' axis when you look left and right. It won't take you to the full 180 degree position in-game but will actually stop at about 150 degrees, so for example when you look left to check your six oclock the view won't let you see completely out the other side, and yet it doesn't hinder your ability to check six at all. This means that the axes are limited in their range a little bit, but to me looking around in-game actually feels like it is a head instead of pivoting around a point in the cockpit. I always disliked how looking to my six would inevitably show the entire back of the cockpit which made it look flat, so I really like these changes. Pitch - Added the little deadzones, but I've made it easier to look up and down without the issue of getting stuck at the ends of TIR's range. Looking up is faster initially, but slower towards the end to make it better to check above you and as part of a high six oclock check. Looking down is easier so you can check the instruments you need. X axis - Added the little deadzones and made it easier to slide left and right in the cockpit, but the deadzone on this axis is slightly larger to prevent the out of body experience you can have with the canopy open. I use a speed of 1 and smoothness of 30 with this profile. Edit the profile as you please. Defaults: Center - Mouse button 5 (thumb mouse button) Pause - CTRL+F9 Precision - CTRL+F7 Profile - CTRL+F12 (not enabled) All axes - Enabled Trueview - Off I have used this profile for some time with zero issue, Long story short I built a new pc recently and have been putting off setting up all the flight stuff, last night I set it all up and have everything good to go but having issues with the X axis with the Track IR profile now.. When I look behind and slide left and right its inverted and when looking forward its normal. If i check the invert check box on Track IR software it fixes looking behind but inverts forwards side to side slide. I know it can be the way I am wanting it to be because thats how it always was and even on the default profile in Track IR its fine, I even compared the default and the Req Feb 21 profile and all the boxes seem to be checked the same. I can not seem to figure this out for the life of me and I can not retrain my lazy stuck in its ways almost 40 year old brain to do this inverted especially when looking backwards. I have the latest Track IR version (5.5.3) and as mentioned above it works the way I would like it with the crappy fefault Track IR profile, one I use for ATS, and another for Star Citizen just not for the Requiem profile. Does anyone know how to fix this or have any ideas what may be causing it? Thanks in advance Requiem, Sorry I posted basically the same thing on your YouTube channel, just getting frustrated trying to fix something I do not know much about and I cant find much info on my exact issue even asking AI was a bust lol. EDIT: Someone on Reddit said to try and switch from pan to centered and then back to pan in the in game camera settings and that seems to have fixed it somehow! Sorry for the bother everyone!! Thanks to GreatOdinsBeard for a fast response and working solution! Edited May 31 by =VF10=Kushman018
