Hi

This evening I was playing earlier on with no problem whatsoever and then, after a break of around 2 hours (around 11.30 pm gmt), I try restarting the game and am confronted repeatedly with 'disconnected from master server' issues whilst trying to launch the game. I close the message and try again and am connected but the game itself is totally unplayable with a framerate of around 10-15! I have done everything at my end including rebooting my router and rebooting the PC but nothing seems to help and I'm having no issues with any other connections either, just Il2 unfortunately!

I'm just wondering if it's a known server issue at the moment? Attached please find a screenshot of the message I keep getting.

Thanks in advance for any heads-up

Folks from my squadron were having issues with seeing the server list earlier in the evening when trying to attach to hosted games (coop and dogfight) with mods on. The server names kept flashing on and off at intervals. This was despite different people trying to host from different machines in different geographical locations (all in the UK though). We said at the time that it looked like something was up with the master server.

Hmmm... Yeah, I'm still getting it today (13 hours later) after reinstalling and everything! I wonder what's up? Inevitably you start thinking that it may be something to do with your machine but no, it aint coz I've done loads of diagnostics. I haven't seen anything else posted about this issue in the past day or so. I wonder if it's specific to good ol' Blighty?

I am having this same exact issue, but the thing is that I have never actually gotten to fly any aircraft in game. I bought and installed the game, registered, and got this message. I reinstalled but got the same message. I uninstalled again and assumed that there must be something up with the servers at the moment. I come back around a month later, reinstall the game once again, and the same thing happens over and over again. I haven't ever been able to get into the game, so I can't fly offline, either. Help?

@DeadMeme

Have you actually tried 'Play Offline' option at the startup screen? That's what I was doing for a couple of days. In my case it turned out that the fault was actually at MY end as I was having unknown internet issues which have now been rectified. Also it turns out that the inside of my faithful machine was in need of a little cleaning as well and so now I am back to normal and can play again.

Try the 'offline' option. If you can't even got in from that then it is nothing to do with the server or anything else at their end, it is more probable that it's something at your end preventing the game from even starting up?

I KNOW that this isn't a fix but it certainly sounds like it's something on your machine setup and not at the other end of the line is all because starting the game offline needs no input from outside sources. Try starting from il2.exe in the game folder just to make sure because that will bypass the Launcher altogether.

The route is C:\Program Files\1C Game Studios\IL-2 Sturmovik Battle of Moscow\bin\game and both the Launcher and the game exe are in there (in my machine anyway).

Let us know how you get on?

I'm having same problem. Off-Line log in works but not online log in.
