Dear developers, please explain why the stereo sound disappeared in the game? Why, when turning the head in the last versions of IL-2, the sounds of the engine, the shooting, etc. ceased to flow from one ear to another?

And since now we have the mode "Mod", will not tell how to return the stereo sound to the game?

I really need it!!!

Best check your settings. Stereo and multi-point sound are still there.

Where I need to check settings?

Engine sound in cocpit only center always in headphone, at any position of the head :(((

But in old versions IL-2 BoX , when turning the head to the side, Engine sound moved to the opposite ear !!!

Have you tested in other software? I was playing for a while today and there is definitely stereo sound. Maybe post a screenshot of your sound setttings so we can compare it to ours.

in other software and games stereo is present

in IL-2  some sounds when turning the head change direction, but the sound of shooting and the engine sound in cocpit do not change

Here it's not the stereo effect itself that is important, but the change in the direction of sound when turning the head !!!

...and this case in Rift headphone and in other headphone(Philips,Iphone )

Ah, sorry, not sure how much help I can be here. I can't read Russian so I don't know what that all says.

Are you using VR for DCS and Il-2 (looks like you are from the split screen video)? Could it actually be a VR problem occurring in Il-2 that is not tracking your head (in terms of sound direction). I don't have VR so I don't know what it could be, but if I remember correctly the VR implementation is through Steam VR so maybe there is a setting there that has changed, or a VR setting in-game that has changed.

Might also be worth checking outside of VR to see if it is a VR issue or an issue for everything. I would just move the head around with the mouse with the headphones on and see if it works.

I tried and with VR(Oculus) and without VR(monitor version+Philips headphone) and engine snd move from left ear to right ear and back only in P-39 Cobra(especially feel the effect) And in P-40,yak-1,Yak-7 A lightly effect of sound transfer when turning the head is present(maybe else in some other airplane) , but in bf109 all+ engine snd static in center of head

It's really odd that it only happens with some aircraft. I would report this as a bug to the devs. I hate to say it, but a fresh install might be needed to see if that would help...

I get the same as huligan too... Not sure when it started to be like this though, I just never realised this before.

If I'm not mistaken, it appeared with version 2.012 (maybe earlier)

Ok, so now I feel stupid. I tried this tonight, and when I really paid attention...I notice that the engine sound does not appear to be 'in stereo', but everything else is. I guess I hadn't noticed because I've been flying the I-16 since I got the game and the wind noise from the cockpit is definitely in stereo. Now I don't know what to think.

In my opinion, the sound needs to be reworked. He is partly just bad, wrong and does not fit the otherwise good quality of the game.
