Acknowledgement of Forum Ban

I am back after a short imposed forum ban for the inappropriate use of an adjective, which was part of the content of my original posting entitled " Dam Busters remake "

I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to the forum and to assure all that no malice or racial slur was intended.

Thank you.

I think your apology is widely accepted and understood.

FYI The dog have in the remake been renamed Digger. Perhaps it is better so.

I agree, and thank you for that.

It takes a big man to apologise for his mistakes. It's hard for us white folks to understand how awful that word is. It was/is used to remove the humanity of an entire race for exploitation pre and post emancipation. As a British citizen I find it a very embarassing footnote in our history.

Welcome back.  Good news there too.  Much better than Trigger, which had also been suggested.

I must say that I like it, how the moderators keep this forum a nice place without the usual flame wars etc.

I was banned for a little too, some weeks ago, because I got mad about some childish stuff of some users....

It was OK in the end, though a warning would have been enough for that.

I can't speak for anyone else but I appreciate the apology.. and as I told you in the PM I know you meant no harm .. but as you can see this topic 9 times out of 10 and usually very quickly escalates into a mess if it is not dealt with and even in that context we just cannot allow even the toe in the door on that because someone will come along and try to pry it open.
