I use TrackIR to look around, and I use the numpad for engine controls. Whenever I press numpad 5 the camera snaps to the forward position and centers there- overriding TrackIR.

I've checked the entire key bindings menu and numpad 5 is not bound to anything besides my RPM control. I've looked in the config files too but I can't seem to stop this from happening.

Is this the case for anyone else? Does anyone know how to stop numpad 5 from centering the camera?

      Go to "Settings"/"Key Mapping"/ "Camera Controls"/"Reset Camera - Numpad 5".

This what's causing your view to center.  :salute:

Thanks for the suggestion, but like I said I checked all the key bindings, it's not bound to Reset Camera:

There is no orange coloured square in your RPM control key binding? Because it could also be something like toggle pilot head center or forward, in pilot head movement. Or it might be a key for the TrackIR. Center or Precision maybe.

Nope, no orange square - like I said I have checked every keybinding in the menu. I use C to center the TrackIR, I don't think it's that as I can use the numpad in other sims without this happening

By default Keypad 5 is assigned for - besides for  "Reset camera":

So you need remove Keypad 5 - in "Pilot head control", from:

- Pilot head snap position: center

This controls center view inside cockpit, "Reset camera" not - only in external view.

So for use Keypad 5 for engine controls  - inside cockpit, don't need remove from "Reset camera" (neither from Turret or "GoPro") - unless you use fly in external camera. :)

BTW - Tested.

You should use F1 to center your TIR........ it's the pilot cockpit view anyway...............  It's what i have always used since TIR came out to center my cockpit view.

Cheers

hi

in your post you got no keys assigned for reset camera maybe you could try to assign all tree key bindings to something else, it may override the file where the num 5 pad is assigned ....
