Scotters Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 (edited) I am playing with a beginner realism set up, no torque, etc, but the hurricane and spitfire always drift up and to the right. I have messes with the trim settings and tried everything. This only happens in CLOD blitz, its fine in Battle of Stalingrad, and Falcon BMS. I think it may be a bug for Warthog owners, but who knows. I have found that others have had this problem. http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3666408/HOTAS_Warthog_Profile.html However they never mentioned a solution on that thread. Any ideas. 69thSpiritus Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 Interesting. There are also people with Warthogs who do not have this issue. Hopefully they chime in as I do not have one.
Scotters Posted April 22, 2018 Author Posted April 22, 2018 I wonder why its some warthogs and not others. Is there some setting that I hit, or something someone else changed? This is really driving me nuts. Maybe it has something to do with the thrustmaster pedals?
DD_FT- Posted April 22, 2018 Posted April 22, 2018 I think it's normal behavior for the Hurricane and Spit in CloD, even when torque is off in the difficulty setting. (One could call that a bug though.) It's been like that for a while, and not limited to the Warthog. My MS FFB2 always needs some leaning to the left to keep the wings level. See here: https://theairtacticalassaultgroup.com/forum/showthread.php?t=4346&highlight=bank The drift upwards? No idea really!
knightal Posted July 5, 2018 Posted July 5, 2018 I have this problem with the cheaper T Flight HOTAS joy stick. That is when the game actually recognizes it. I found that I could control the Elevator by setting a key command to Elevator Trim. However even setting a key command to Aileron Trim did nothing. This was in all aircraft though no just the Hurricane and Spit.
Scotters Posted July 19, 2018 Author Posted July 19, 2018 Im still looking for a solution here. I love this game, but this issue is a pain in the but. I dont have any problem with this in BOS or Falcon BMS, just in this game.
Team Fusion Buzzsaw Posted July 25, 2018 Team Fusion Posted July 25, 2018 Hello Scotters The torque in the Spitfire and Hurricane, plus the fact there is no aileron trim means there is a tendency for the aircraft to roll at certain speeds. You need to counter this manually with your joystick. This is a historical effect, and we have not changed the trim effect for the reason we like to provide as close an experience to the real types as possible.
Rafofa Posted September 27, 2018 Posted September 27, 2018 Thanks for the guide, very good quality and good! It's nice when the community does some interesting and cool things. Then you realize that it's all for something bigger than just a game
