Another fine BlitzPig moment in Flight Simulation...

So, BlitzPig_WingN and I, and later BlitzPig_Ham, flew some co-ops today.

 

In this particular one I sort of, well, didn't quite pull up in time and, well, had a bit of intercourse with the terrain.
So there I am, sitting in my IL2 on the ground,  no wings to speak of, prop all bent to feck, etc...  And I was looking straight ahead at a railroad track.

Then I remembered...  an enemy train was coming...    

 

So I patiently sat there in my crashed aircraft, while all kinds of aerial mayhem was taking place above me, waiting for a train.

As it came around the bend i could hear it's whistle and the sound of it's steam locomotive. The game is really cool in the details...  And when the locomotive passed in front of me, I pulled the trigger and my two 7.62 machine guns and two Vya 23mm cannons blew up the loco, and caused secondary explosions that took out half the train.

 

 

 

Should I put in for an HSU?

Aww that beats my aircraft takedown while taxiing a bf110 I did in mp.  

Engines start up, see red flare and air siren winding up, begin to taxi to runway, see enemy AC lining up.... they become committed... i line up my guns... and wait... bullet impacts zeroing in on me... I fill the path with tracers...enemy smokes and smashes into the ground infront of me....

i then erupt in an evil chuckle “mu hahhahahaaaaaa!!!  

Quickly loop my plane and line up with runway and take off......

One of my first online sorties, two yaks came down on me, so I dove away.  I was pulling over 700kph and only got out because of my stabiliser a couple dozen meters from the trees.  I looked back, and watched both yaks plow straight into the ground.  :D

Reminds me of the time I was in a Peshka, taxiing to the runway and my laser-guided rear gunner shot down a strafing fighter without me even noticing. 

Only realised when my wingman pointed it out.

 

Not really ‘my’ achievement at all but I’ll happily take the credit for it.
