From what i understand the pilot is a Croat, flying a Swiss turboprop trainer.

Ray Hanna flew his Spitfire under the bridge at Winston, near Barnard Castle, for a scene in Piece of Cake.

I remember reading the book. I didnt realise they made a film / tv show of it ?

one thing I recall from the book, (read it years ago) was a character called "baggy betchley" he had a large scrotum that he managed to get trapped under the toilet seat in the portaloo when the airfield came under attack. He couldn't stand up, or sit down lol. What a way to go :)

@Space_Ghost would be impressed

Baggy Bletchley did not die in the loo... he surfaces again in another adventure, you lot obviously haven't read all Derek Robinson's books  :)

Nice, Ag pilots do stuff like this all the time, though they aren't going as fast.

I do wish there was an abridged version of Piece of Cake.  One that didn't contain all the trippy dad jokes.

Everybody know this, but this low pass is awesome

He is a trained fighter pilot. He is flying PC-9 from Wings of Storm aerobatic team. These guys are very skilled. And since they are croats they are also crazy fuks.

Idiot... if he keeps that up it's only a matter of time before he kills himself or his passenger.

Just one small lapse of judgement, downdraft, bird strike, fence line, telephone line and he's toast.

Which is true for all Low and Slow Flyers. But at 80-100kph he's more likely to walk away than the others at 400.
