Had the same problem a couple of days ago and decided to give it a rest for a while.  Just tried it again this morning and the update completed and installed on the first try.  Either something they did fixed the problem or enough other people succeeded (or gave up) so the servers aren't being taxed like before.

Busy with life m8  i used to skin a lot for the old il2 series but i have not had time to try it for this series , too busy making the plastic kind nowadays.

Ah of course I used a lot of your skins in the day, they were excellent.

 

I can relate to your plastic modelling, I have been into that since the 1950’s. I recently finished the Revell 1/72 Flower class corvette. 300+ hours but it was the most enjoyable model I have ever made and I have made hundreds.

This one is just under 1 meter in length

The other 3 were completed after the corvette. All are 1/72 scale.
