That thing is so pretty in the air! From the warbirds I've seen, the Mustang is the most elegant, while the Yak-3 gives the most 'raw power' vibes. Nice video, Bearcat! (By the way, the images in your signature have gone kaput, it seems)

I am probably in the minority because P-51 never appealed to me on an aesthetic level. I can only appreciate it as a technical achievement and a tool of victory over evil nazism. IMHO FW 190-D9 is the best looking,  sleekest WW2 single-engined piston aircraft. I am looking forward to flying it in BoB but it will be a challenge as I struggle to master even a lowly FW 190 A-5 (so far I get shredded in "Quick Mission" when facing 1943 Sturmoviks and PE-2s in full realism mode).

When you look at the size of the pilot to the aircraft in the video of the Jug, you realise what a monster it is... and I've always loved the razor back version over the bubble canopy version.

My favourite American aircraft by far!

 Because there's plenty of airframe that the pilot can scurry around inside and hide in!

Look at the  size of teh prop on that thing.  Its enormous.
