seafireliv Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 You guys probably already know this, but- 1. The AI needs to be able to warn the Player if a bogey is on his 6 (if AI `visual` cone can actually see that a bogey is on the Player`s 6). The AI is very effective at trying to help the Player, but a warning would be even faster. 2. Lower ranked Human pilots should have an ability to warn the AI of incoming enemy or enemy seen. 3. Player should have a "Help! Got one on my six! Or "Need backup!" command (doesn`t mean the AI`s guaranteed to help, but it should be there). 4. A "Where are you?" command would be useful to orientate oneself back to the squadron. 5. A "Vector to base" or "Target area" would be useful to radio to base when in need of directions, if possible\feasible. Of course, radios need to be present and functioning for any of this to work. I`m sure other pilots have more suggestions. 5
InProgress Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 They should inform you about speed, change of course, change of formation for X. They should tell you if they are going home. Lots of times during fighting I end up killing enemy and look around and no one is there anymore, they all ignored me and went home without me... same about mission to cover ground units, we circled it for 10min and then randomly they went home without a word and had to go back alone. Not sure if that's something.. but quite often enemy attacks wrong targets on the ground so you and team circle around and then go back to base (and of course mission failed) would be actually cool if AI on the ground could also call for help any near units because they are under attack so if you are near it, you get info and can head to intercept. 3
jokash Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Just posted something similar...hate when i'm left not knowing what the hell my squad is doing
Feathered_IV Posted April 17, 2018 Posted April 17, 2018 Yep. Being able to call a specific aircraft and give orders would be a must too. I just lost an entire flight, (two of the pilots being ones that I'd survived the entire Moscow campaign with) because I gave the return-home order when one of the squad began loosing fuel over the lines. The whole flight obediently popped their nav lights on in the middle of a dogfight and headed for home, deaf to any further orders. The 109s gratefully chewed them to bits. Getting them to check in too would be useful. Half the time I don't even know who's left alive... 1 1
