=FEW=Hauggy Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Hey guys! I got some issues like a bit of aliasing in the cockpit, a bit on the ground at low altitude and massive aliasing at cloud base (I mean those disgusting moving pixels). I used to have spare grid supersampling but since the new update it ruins the visuals on Kuban creating more issues than solving them, also I used different settings via nvidia inspector but I realized this was hurting my spotting abilities making contacts dissapear within the actual viewrange and making sometimes people impossible to spot. I also noticed the shadows had an impact but I can't use ultra otherwise its a bit laggy at low altitude. So my question is this : What can I do to make the game look better without hurting my spotting capabilities and especially getting rid of the massive aliasing effect on some lower layers of clouds? Should I use DSR?
THERION Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) Hi, there is a big issue on clouds (new type since 3.001) indeed - hoping there will be a fix for this. Je ne sais vraiment pas ce qu'ils on foutu là! Cheers Btw. system specs and perhaps a screenshot of your graphic settings? Edited April 12, 2018 by EAF_T_Therion 1

sniperton Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Try to set Target FPS to "none" and see what you get. Helped me a lot. If 1920*1080 is your native display resolution, you can untick Full Screen as well. Try HDR off. I found that I don't need VSync either.

Thanks but as you can see the target fps is greyed out and I cannot change it... EDIT : Nevermind unticking Vsync did it! I still want to use Vsync to avoid screen tearing tho. The thing is I don't see any difference. Are you sure you answered about the aliasing issue and how to get rid of it or are you just trying to help me get more fps? Because I use to have more than 100 nearly all the time. Edited April 12, 2018 by =FEW=Hauggy
THERION Posted April 12, 2018 Posted April 12, 2018 Well, with your system you should definitively run the game very smoothly on ultra. The only thing I would lower is the landscape distance - 150km might be too high regarding your video memory (4GB). And lower the mirror a tad too. You should definitively leave Vsync on as for the Fullscreen you can untick it. Now, what did you fiddle around in your Nvidia control panel? I suggest to modify as less as possible, better use one of the presets like "Performance", "Balanced" or "Quality" (sliding bar). Start with "Performance" and try this. It is better not to mess around too much with all those settings in the NVCP, unless you know what you are doing. You can also check the topic from Mastiff in this forum - a quite versatile Nvidia user who knows quite a lot about tweaking. Cheers 1

Disabling Target FPS helped me (still far not perfect, but better than before). I suggested the rest of the settings only because I use them that way. I don't have tearing, although VSync is turned off. I have a budget 1050Ti, at NVCP everything set to default (global setting) except for power management. Sorry about not being able to help you. 1
