DD_Arthur Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Having said that, it's not about doing things differently, but the key element is to remember things with sobriety. This.
Rama Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 oh, so you'd respect me more if I claimed to be racist? I suppose that if at least you would concede that this sentence of you "it doesn't matter as you are Italian anyway but in this country we will never forget the sacrifices we made." is denigrating Italians, and so quite unsuitable in a polite discussion.... you could gain some respect. .... but what I say or anything .... In any case, more nationality bashing, even "subtle" will not be tolerated. in this thread or in others. (This isn't just for Bongo, but for everybody).
DD_bongodriver Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 No, I said it because he is an Italian who lives in the UK, I was simply helping him rationalise the apparent lack of understanding of our style of remembrance, if anybody read more in to that then I'm not the one with questionable ethics.
Rama Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 if anybody read more in to that then I'm not the one with questionable ethics. Of course.... what a fool I am... Anyway, you've been warned not to use arguments playing with other's nationalities. So you know now what not to do.
DD_bongodriver Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 Ok, strange game of chess going on it seems, hopefully I'm not responding to another deleted post, but I'd just like to point out I understand you are warning 'me' over an allegation that is false, unless mentioning nationality in any context is regarded as racist, so I'd also mention it's worth being carefull of what you accuse people of, slander like that can have serious effects on peoples lives beyond internet forums.
Rama Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 You better stop playing this game. I never used the word "racist". The warning is clear and without any reference to racism, neither to any allegation. You can pretend you don't understand the wording of it... well... if you test it you'll understand it. That's my last word on it. Back to topic.
DD_bongodriver Posted January 10, 2014 Posted January 10, 2014 hey if the dams on the right whats better spin the bomb clock wise or counterclockwise? i say counterclockwise What does Donald duck say?
76SQN-FatherTed Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Not really a Bongo fan, but i think he has it right here. To paraphrase Basil Fawlty, " You started it!" That maybe a glib comment, but the fire-bombing of Dresden would not have happened if Hitler had not invaded Poland. And the attempted effort to flood the Ruhr Valley was more a defensive than offensive action
FlatSpinMan Posted January 11, 2014 Posted January 11, 2014 Man, some really unnecessary crap going on in this thread.
