Career Mode KIA Question?

The face palm is at the ready!!!

 

I have a question to when you get "Killed In Action" in Career Mode, do you have to start again all the way from the beginning?

 

I had flown 4 missions before I lost control of my tail and plummeted to the ground, I got the red KIA message under my pilot and I'm now not sure how to proceed?

Do I move on to another squad member or do I restart from the beginning again?

 

Sorry for being a bit dumb here I'm just keen to get the most of such a wonderful game.

The beauty of it all is: It's up to you what you do next. I try to start a new iron man career at approximately the date my last character died. But it's all up to you.

I have the same question, for example in a non ironman campaign my pilot got captured, there seems no way continue it.

After death, capture or other terrible stuff, you cannot go on. The difference with iron man is that you can get the refly option (in iron man there will never be an option to refly the mission). If you click ok (and not on refly) the endresult is as in iron man...... Career is over.

Remember you always have the alt-F4 option if your career ends to something you consider "lame" (AI crashing into you in formation or similar).
