chiliwili69 Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I created a poll about a year ago (to track VR adoption) but now, with the new version of the forum it can not be edited to include new VR devices. How can I edit a previous poll? Thanks
AndyJWest Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 Editing a poll a year after it has been responded to can only ever lead to confusing results. Why not start a new one?
chiliwili69 Posted April 11, 2018 Author Posted April 11, 2018 Yes, changing a poll after a year could produce confusing results, but in this case the poll was to follow the adoption of VR and the type of VR. As every year appear new devices I wanted to incorporate those new devices. If I start a new poll, all the previous votes will disappear. Is the one year rule fixed for this forum? is something that can be overrided?
AndyJWest Posted April 11, 2018 Posted April 11, 2018 I don't think there is a 'rule', but I still don't understand why you need to edit the existing poll. It isn't going to be deleted. It will show the results as of last year. A new one will show the results for this year. Up to date information is useful. Mixed up data isn't.
