Request: Can we have a 'motion blur' on/off option in the graphics menu please?

I know it can be disabled by unselecting 'cinematic camera' but I like the slight movements effects of that camera, just hate the motion blur.

Can we have the ability to disable only motion blur in a future patch? Even if it's just through the startup.cfg that would be awesome. Thanks!

It is there but not under graphics settings.

Go to cam settings and look for Cinematic or Head Shake. It is one of them two.

Solved!!

I was actually wanting to have motion blur but without the camera shake which is the exact opposite but either way having one should give us the other I would hope.

Not exactly. He wants the two parts of the experience (the camera shake and the motion blur) separated out so he can have the one without the other. Not currently possible.

I had the cinematic shake for the camera shake. Didn`t know turning it off would get rid of the blur. The blur was constantly obscurring my vision. Hate the blur, besides your own natural movements create its own blur in real life. It shouldn`t be in games. It`s like blurring things at a distance too, looks good, but it`s a pain as it physically confuses the Human eyes on 2D screens (causes focusing and refocusing of the retina) and is likely very bad for you.

Perhaps you misunderstood my post? I'm looking to disable 'MOTION BLUR' independently from the 'CINEMATIC CAM' option. I like the slight camera movements of the cinematic camera in the external views but don't want the motion blur. :)

Yes, totally agree. I know it's popular in console games because motion blur can help reduce the appearance of a poor frame-rate, but it really has no place in a serious PC sim. I understand some people like the effect, so the devs should allow us to turn it off while keeping the cinematic camera effect. :)

Have seen blur used very effectively in vids and screenshots, so it has its place, but nice if it could be separated from 'cinematic'

I'd love for these to be separated as well. Motion blur is the first thing I turn off in all games.

Unfortunately the motion blur is also active in the cockpit when looking around, not just the external view. :(

From the manual...

"Enabling the Cinematic camera effect option simulates the effect of a non-stabilized camera. That is, the camera will move horizontally and vertically, thus simulating it being attached to an aircraft that is being buffeted around. Keep this checkbox cleared if you want your external camera view to remain stable. This option also adds a motion blur effect as you move your point of view around while inside the cockpit."

I disabled both head shake and cinematic camera and still found the camera had motion blur when using turret positions. Has anyone else experienced this? Its quite nauseating.
