Understanding mission types and what to bomb.

Greetings, it might be a weird question though.

 

i have bought BoM and BoS last week and trying to get a grip on it. I have been doing a career with He-111 i somewhat get pretty accurate with level bombing and bomb sight but one issue really makes long missions not worthwhile, i don't understand what to bomb.

 

I can obviously understand when it says bomb the bridge or airfield, but i don't get some mission types, such as supply dumb bombing and the other one i cant remember.

 

Can someone please explain to me that which type of mission wants me to bomb what and how to distinguish them from the bombsight, because all i mostly see is some buildings and roads and railways.

Usually if a target such as a supply dump or railway station is designated, the buildings will stand out just a little bit more in the bomb sight - almost as if they were in bold text rather than normal (bad analogy I know, but struggling for a way to describe it).

 

Take particular note of things like the turn of a road or a river that you will be able to identify through your bomb sight on the approach to help you line up. To help with this try switching the bomb sight view to enable you to look almost fully forward so you can pick out landmarks at the earliest opportunity.

 

If you don't have a designated approach route to the target, look for something that will be obvious to you but maybe not as obvious to an enemy defender. This is difficult as many of us tend to think alike when it comes to this.
