Do the collectors planes appear as enemies in the campaign?

HI,

 

Im new to BOS/BOM, was just wondering if these planes are completely locked out until your purchase them?.

 

If I was to buy an Axis collector plane but then played the campaign as Russian, would that Axis plane appear in campaign missions on the enemy side?

I believe they appear as enemies even if you don`t buy them. I think they appear as friendlies too if on your side.

That's interesting now that you've mentioned it - I've never actually seen them outside of setting them up on QMB (I don't have it myself but I like shooting them down). They're static planes on the ground, sure. But besides that I've never actually had to interdict Tante Jus even in Stalingrad where they played a big part. 

 

I'm curious why they're seemingly absent. Or maybe I've missed them in-game? They have aerodromes in Stalingrad and Kuban and there are missions for them for players who own it so it's pretty odd they don't have non-player sorties in the campaign.

 

It'd be nice to shoot them down.

I`ve not seen them either. But I don`t really expect to see Ju52s too often so I`d give it a while.

4 days ago i had an bomber escort mission but i was surprised because it was a flight of 9 Ju52!

125 km, and ju 52 sppeed, was a loong flight.

But even it was declared a s a bomber escort mission, the Ju 52 even didnt had the rear gunner on top.

I dont know if they dropped bombs bc i concentrated to the enemy fighters.

 

And i see mc 202´s

 

I have bought the ju 52 but not the italian plane but it is there

Well that`s good to know. As the Russians, I`m hoping to see some in the siege of Stalingrad since Ju52s were used to attempt to deliver supplies and do evacuations.
