Icewolf Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 (edited) my wish is build it like IL2 and it will be a great game Edited February 1, 2013 by icewolf Inappropriate, uncivil, not backed up by anything other than personal observation. 1
AndyJWest Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Icewolf, you obviously don't have a clue what you are talking about - where any of those problems existed at all, they have been fixed long ago. 1
LG1.Farber Posted January 24, 2013 Posted January 24, 2013 Some good points there icewolf, However as stated. "It will work" is what Jason said so yea... It will work and if everyone buys it they might make some of those things in the future.
Icewolf Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 (edited) andy have you ever played another flight game? what I have stated are not just my observations [EDIT BY FSM - YES THEY ARE] have you ever tried to make an online mission? it is very restrictive in game play [iN THE POSTER'S OPINION]. the knee board map is brutal [DEFINE 'BRUTAL'. I HAVE NEVER CONSIDERED USING IT TO APPLY TO A COMPUTER GAME'S MAP] [EDITED TO REMOVE INSULTS, UNSUBSTANTIATED ONES AT THAT] Edited January 25, 2013 by FlatSpinMan Boorishness.
AndyJWest Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Other games? Yup: IL2 '46, CloD (not much - by the time they'd sorted out the worst of the bugs I'd lost interest, though I suspect that this was mostly due to the obnoxiousness of far too many of the CloD crowd) FSX (boring), LOMAC, CFS3 (yuk - but it led me to IL-2) and a few others, going back to the mid 1980s on an Amstrad CPC 464. Did a bit of programming (Java, and a bit of C if I remember correctly) on a prototype autopilot for IL-2 '46, which came in handy investigating (amongst other things) how ground effect was modelled (i.e. wrongly, but it was there, in spite of the claims of several 'full real' know-it-alls who insisted that Oleg had told them personally etc, etc - usual forum BS). Haven't a clue what you are talking about regarding maps - the RoF one can be any size (and transparency) you like... 'Play full real for a change'? Utter bull - there is no such thing as a 'full real' simulation. Don't kid yourself. But what makes you think I play with icons? What makes you think you have the slightest clue what I get up to? And come to think of it, what makes you think I give a toss about your opinion anyway? Have I tried to make an online mission in RoF? No - to busy flying them (Syndicate server - call it 'full real' if you want to fantasise, or 'max difficulty switches' if you are honest). Not the best scout pilot by any means (too old = slow reactions: or at least that's my excuse) but I can level-bomb with the best of them, and anyway, I'm doing this for fun, not to pretend I'm living an alternate life as a combat pilot. I'm an adult... And yes, we know that the RoF limit on ground objects needs increasing significantly for WW2 (and it wouldn't be a bad idea for WW1 come to that) - but do you seriously think that the BoS developers are unaware of this? Grow up. 1
FlatSpinMan Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 What an amazingly offensive thing to post on a forum owned by the company whose products you are trashing. See ya, Ice.
