YEs I searched the thread but no one seems to have this issue? :o::o::o:

New pilot (1 hour) and have not really been into a sim since EF2000. Got my x45 (yes 45) working under windows so I think I am set to go!!!

I am initially having problems (Oculus, GTX1-8-) re-centering the view

In oculus HOME it seems to not recenter in the game, when I pick up my touch and get to the STEAMVR, hit re-center view, the game is NOT re-centering.

What am I am doing wrong? Every other VR responds to recentering in oculus HOME or in STEAMVR.

I see the sticky in the first thread for general performance optimizations, however anyone have GTX1080 specific mods (i7 3770k/1080/16GB)

Hmm - not sure why you're even running Oculus Home, much less trying to use the centering functionality there.  I always just start the game directly, and it then starts SteamVR without starting Oculus Home at all.

But, regardless, there is a VR view centering command/function within BoX that should work just fine for you.  The one quirk is that apparently the normal pilot head movement keys (ins/home/pgdn etc.) don't seem to work while you're in VR, so what I do is start the game without VR, get my default/normal/centered view the way I want it (using those keys mentioned above) and then save it down with the F10 key.  You should only have to do that once for each plane you fly (unless you hit the F10 key by mistake sometimes and reset your view weirdly - if that happens you may want to change the assignment from F10 to some combination like CTRL+F10 that's harder to hit by mistake).  Then when you go into the game in VR you should be able to use the VR centering command in BoX and it should bring you right to your saved normal/centered view.

Ok so my keyboard has no num pad so that is an issue

Ahjj. So it's num-5 to center head ....

What I meant was most software (or all) allows me to:wacko: drop to Oculus home( even if steam openvr) click "center view" and Bam. I never considered a game would have vr centering

What rig are you running? Looking at 1080 settings now thinking dynamic resolution may be best thing

In BOS there is a VR specific key mapping to recenter view. you can find it in the Key mapping options.

Yep works a champ. That is first thing I do when climbing into the cockpit for a session. Have it assigned to a button on my stick.
