Centering Playing Position

I'm using IL-2 with Oculus Rift and new to the game. Can't find any user guides or tutorials that answer this problem but when signing in the menu is way off to the side and not centered. When playing the game I'm floating above the plane instead of sitting in the cockpit. Is there a way of getting the positions centered relative to my playing positions? Thanks.

it's under pilot head controls in key mapping. "default vr view". I don't know what the default setting is. I changed it to a joystick button

As above. I assigned it to a (CH Products) throttle button because it can be useful to reset it whilst flying (it can drift) without pausing or reaching for the keyboard. I also use it to achieve my preferred bf 109 position, right eye centred on the gunsight, by leaning back and slightly right, pressing the button then resuming my normal position (ie stop leaning back and right).
