Solmyr Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) http://www.leparisien.fr/faits-divers/pres-de-lens-deux-morts-dans-le-crash-d-un-avion-de-collection-08-04-2018-7653636.php In english and in a few words : it seems that a it's a Yak-18 which crashed and deintegrated in a small air show in north of France. Both pilots are dead. Some people say that they wanted to do a looping from low level, and ended way too low to resource. Other speak about a smoke appeared a few seconds before the crash. Of course, rest in piece for both pilots. And rest in piece for a collector plane that will never be repaired. Edited April 8, 2018 by Solmyr 6
Wolfram-Harms Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Thanks for the info. The old birds are dying out slowly, I'm afraid. Which is real sad. Even sadder, when the pilots are also dead.
Blackhawk_FR Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 (edited) Journalists... "It would be a fighter aircraft of WWII" when talking about Yak18 So sad for the crew :((((( RIP Edited April 9, 2018 by F/JG300_Faucon
=FEW=Hauggy Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Merde! Bad luck...at least they died doing what they loved. RIP
[ROAF]Leutnant_Scorp1 Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 becoming a pilot is no easy task , it took them , i imagine , over 12 years , and there it goes , in a heartbeat , now you are the next second all your loved ones are crying . heartbreaking . at least now they are in the skies , their favorite place to be <3 <-- my heart goes to any pilot in the air force or civil planes . you guys got nerves of titanium .
