Furt Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 Greetings! First of all happy Easter to all who celebrate today! Has anyone noticed that moving the joystick actually disables either key or mouse commands for the control surfaces and throttle? And they cannot be re engaged until mission restart, or even game restart sometimes? Is that supposed to be like that or am I missing something? P.S. Sorry if the question has already been brought up, just couldn't find anything!
Wolfram-Harms Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) No idea why you want to have both, but it should still be possible, if you assign both inputs to the same command. So you should be able to have "Elevator up/down" on the joystick, and also on the up/down arrow keys. Behind each "action" there are 3 fields - you can put an input in each of them and thereby have three ways to act. Edited April 8, 2018 by Wolfram-Harms 1
Furt Posted April 8, 2018 Author Posted April 8, 2018 Thank you for the quick reply! 22 minutes ago, Wolfram-Harms said: No idea why you want to have both... A matter of habit I guess! I have been explicitly taught to constantly trim the plane for hands off flying and so I do /turn, time, trim /. But since not all aircraft have trim tabs on all of their control surfaces, that is not always possible. So I use key or mouse commands to make small adjustments. Everything is in order with the assignments, all three fields are properly filled. The problem is that control surface commands work only until I move the joystick and then cut out completely for the rest of the flight. That seems strange to me, so I decided to ask.

But if you put your trims on other keys, they should work both, and all the time - or so I'd guess. Perhaps someone else knows more here...
Furt Posted April 9, 2018 Author Posted April 9, 2018 I cleaned and updated the OS, reinstalled the game - no change. At least the multiplayer connection issues seem to be gone now
Warpig Posted April 9, 2018 Posted April 9, 2018 Trims work all the time if assigned to the keyboard. At least they do for me. Maybe remove any mouse assignments on them.
Furt Posted April 12, 2018 Author Posted April 12, 2018 Thanks Warpig - tried that one too but to no avail! Anyway It's no big deal, I'll adjust
