So I just purchased this game as it has been forever since I have played a fighter Sim and was extremely enthusiastic about it. But then I ran into a problem with the Flight Controllers. The Joystick worked at first but the throttle did nothing. I looked online and found some issues with it being plugged into the USB 2.0 port so I moved them both to the USB 3.0 hoping that would help. Instead now the throttle is read as the joystick and the joystick does nothing. I have downloaded the new drivers and the new software, nothing helps. All I can do in the game is nose dive when I move the throttle. Any Suggestions or game mapping profile links?

The game doesn't know the difference between a throttle, rudder pedals and a stick by default. All it sees is joystick 0, 1, 2... and so on and then assigns roll, pitch and yaw to joystick 0. Joystick 0 is randomly selected. It sounds like it decided your throttle is joystick 0. You need to go in, delete all the axis assignments and set them yourself. It's a quick and easy thing to do though. Just go into key assignments, then the flight control tab and click on elevator, ailerons, rudder, throttle and follow the instructions on screen. You'll also probably want to fix the button assignments for guns and such too.

Hi doppledespot,

I've got the Rhino X55 hotas and I'm running it for years now - without any issues. As BeastyBaiter already said, the game itself does not

make any differences between the input devices.

Just make sure, that you are running the madcatz Rhino software - it's the software which you can use to create your own profiles and

test/modify responsiveness of the curves and buttons. And most important it loads/initialises your hotas. I do not have any profile

loaded - it's just an empty one. In the system tray I just have an icon showing me that rhino hotas are ready and loaded.

You can configure your hotas in game under key mapping - it works flawless in my case.

Cheers

I recommend doing it in game, profile software is universally trash imho whether it's made by Logitech, Thrustmaster or CH. And it is a lot simpler to just do it in game anyways.

Salutations,

I've been investigating the latest Logitech X56 HOTAS. I looks really good, but can anybody give me or point me to a reliable review of the X56?

Thanks. :salute:
