Problem with shutdown

I am new to this game and have a question about a problem I am having.

I go to shut the game down, I click on the [X] in the launcher and it goes gray. The scribes says" background shutting down, please wait" But it never closes. I force the close through task manager.

Then if you go to the shortcut to re-launch the game, it says another game is running.

Is there a way to close it completely or change something? I did not have a problem until the Kuban install.

I only use the Launcher when updating the game. I don't use it for starting and/or exiting the game.

 

Put a shortcut to IL-2.exe on your desktop and run it from there. Then when finished with the session just exit from the main menu, all should close properly.
