Why is a serious flight sim using mmHg as a unit of pressure? inHg or hPa are the standard units of measure in the aviation world. What gives here?

Perhaps because that was the standard measurement at the time for at least some of the countries involved in the conflict? I'm pretty sure that neither the Soviet Union or Germany at that time used inches, so mmHg looks pretty standardised (for them) to me.

Yeah, I've calmed down now. It's all good. I was just very tired of converting data and made a knee-jerk post.

The standard or the normpressure is 1013,25 hpa, you can see it in the cockpit of the planes as well.

Here's the altimeter for the Yak-1, which is set to 760 mmHg. I assume that mmHg was the standard for Russian planes at the time so the devs used that unit in the editor.
