1_Robert_ Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I did a search and didn't find anything so here's my question: Since the update, the snow maps have become almost unplayable for me as they are way too bright. I wasn't sure if this is a known issue affecting everyone or if it's an issue with my settings? I fly VR and have a high end system and never had an issue pre 3.001. I'm not sure if it matters but I fly online (WOL) pretty much exclusively at the moment. I've tried lowering the gamma to the lowest setting but that still leaves a huge contrast and a "washed out" snow landscape. I will wait patiently if this is already in the queue to be fixed or is there something I can adjust? Thanks
ShamrockOneFive Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Screenshots might be helpful to determine if its a screen calibration issue or something to do with your graphics settings. Have you tried turning your gamma (within the game) down?

Yeah, HDR is off. 4 hours ago, ShamrockOneFive said: Screenshots might be helpful to determine if its a screen calibration issue or something to do with your graphics settings. Have you tried turning your gamma (within the game) down? I'll have to leave it at the lowest gamma setting which I find dark but it's the only way to keep away from the blinding snow. Something must be wonky with my system, I'll have to do some digging. It's confusing because I only have the problem on snow maps and it didn't start until the new patch. I at least wanted to clear up whether or not it's a me problem or a universal problem. Guess it's me Thanks for the suggestions guys..
ShamrockOneFive Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Should look a bit like these: It's gotten rather blue in the update. It's a unique look and I mostly like it but it definitely is the opposite of washed out. Custom colour settings in your graphics preferences, or on your monitor, etc. Run a quick calibration test in Windows might help sort things out.

Yeah, those shots look good and I too don't mind the bluer hue. I think it's a VR issue for me, somehow when I pick up the sun reflection on the snow it's too bright and washes out.
