=RS=GiantPLANK Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 I posted this to the support forum but thought id add here too in case anyone has had similar issues: Just bought the game on sale. Am a long time IL2 fan, played the original way back in 2004-ish. As title suggests I have run the setup exe file and got the desktop icon. When i click on that the game goes into updates mode and says; Downloading game client. it downloads X GB of files over 15 min or so but near the end it it then reports; failure to update ive tried four times, each subsequent time it install faster until the unpacking section and near the end says "failure to update" What is goin on? how can i play this beutiful game? Please help! GC
dburne Posted April 6, 2018 Posted April 6, 2018 Check your Anti Virus, make exception for all of IL-2. I know Malwarebytes has been known to conflict at times with it. Also under the Launcher settings, check the "prefer web distribution" box, if it is checked try unchecking it. 1
