SCG_Schneemann Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Have you noticed any resource difference in Co op vs. a Dogfight of mission? I am trying to make some co op missions for a group and they are having trouble running them, I suspect because they can only host on a PC that they are flying on, so pretty taxing on the host PC. But I was wondering if it makes sense to run a co op mission vs. making a dogfight mission where you spawn in, deactivating AI per player spawned in? Then at least you could run it on Dserver and free up the flying PC. Thoughts?
DD_Arthur Posted April 5, 2018 Posted April 5, 2018 I'm having no problems hosting coops whatsoever. I've been running both SYN_Vander's coops and Tx_Tips coop missions. These are both really excellent and well worth trying. Looking forward to using the other coops posted in this thread too. Max. no of players I've hosted for so far have been six and they've been here in the UK and north america. The game has run really, really well. My system is a fairly ancient i7 930 o.c'd to 3.8ghz with 12gigs of ddr3 and an Nvidia 970. No great shakes. However I have 80mbs fibre broadband - i think that really helps. Once you've got your ports sorted out I think running coops in this is easier than in original IL2. It's completely straightforward. Good luck.
