JG27*Kornezov Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 (edited) The 3D effect will work by placing a dark filter over the RIGHT eye. You can use any sun glasses by tilting and holding them vertically over the right eye. So the right eye is covered by the dark glass. Both eyes remain open. The widely accepted explanation of the 3D effect is that a reduction in retinal illumination yields a corresponding delay in signal transmission, imparting instantaneous spatial disparity in moving objects. For example the processing of the right image is delayed for example by 5 ms and therefore your brain perceives 2 different images, and creates a 3 D view. So basically 3D for free. In order the effect to work a constant motion is required, but guess what in flight sims planes are moving. for more check wikipedia: So lads can you see the 3D? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pulfrich_effect Edited April 4, 2018 by JG27_Kornezov 1 1
Blutaar Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Works for me. It is comparable to nvidia 3d vision but not as strong. Like it, thx for the find.
13Nrv Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 Yep it works , just tried it with polarized dark sun glasses and it' s nice . The nicest is may be the tank along the river , the effect is very nice ...
Voidhunger Posted April 4, 2018 Posted April 4, 2018 thanks, its nice. I can see clearly the 3d effect with two Fockewulfs at the beginning , the rest was not so good
JG27*Kornezov Posted April 5, 2018 Author Posted April 5, 2018 (edited) The resolution in my youtube video is not ideal. My wish is to show a cool effect that you can exploit in your game for 3D sight seeing. One thing is to see wow Kuban is really beautifull but another to enjoy it in 3D. Actually the highest the resolution and more fps you have more natural the effect will be. So you can enter the game and repeat those angles and you can see your game in 3 D. 2 basic camera movements. You need the movement to be from left towards the right if you are placing the sun filter over the right eye. In my video I am using either rotation or kind of a diagonal look towards the right. As long the scenery is moving you have the effect, when the movements stops the effect stops. If you place the sun filter on your left eye, the movement has to be exactly the opposite, from right to the left. For example you will be looking diagonally towards the left, or rotating the camera counter clock. Which way is better I think also it depends on which eye is dominant and for each person it is different. The strength of the effect depends: -how strong is the sunglass filter. The darker the glass the more 3 d effect is stronger. According to the latest research there is no clear cut distinction between 3d and 2d. There are a lot of intermediate states. For the same reason for 3 D films the original films filmed with 2 cameras are much better than the films than the 3D effect is created in post production. It is not really easy to get right the 2 images. I like it when it is smoother, a kind of a mild 3 d perceptions. When it is very strong it appears kind of a strange and artificial. -how bright is the room -how bright is the monitor -how fast are the movements in the screen Edited April 5, 2018 by JG27_Kornezov
JG27*Kornezov Posted April 12, 2018 Author Posted April 12, 2018 (edited) Actually you have a perfect example of the 3D effect in the hangar view when you load il 2 BOS. The camera is rotating arround the plane, that is why it works. Take the sunglasses put the dark glass over your right eye (keep both eyes open ) and you will have a high resolution 3D view over your current plane in the hagar.
