IL-2 Stopped Working Error - :(

Help please.

 

Scenario

 

1. il-2 installed 04/04/18 via Steam
2. New Account Setup 04/04/18
3. Game loads
4. Game logs on
5. Select Quick mission
6. Select any free flight mission
7. Pressing start in the Briefing screen generates a windows Error "il 2 sturmovik has stopped working" created, close application the only option

 

This happens when access il-2 both using Oculus headset and desktop
