Has anyone found the setting to allow/disallow mods on a DServer yet? I'm not talking about allowing the official modifications such as mirror, engine, landing lights, etc, I'm talking about a switch to allow user-created mods. So far I've found that you need to turn mods on in Settings => Game to use them, but if you turn them on for yourself you don't get any servers listed in Multiplayer until you turn Mods back off again. I've looked both in the GUI SDS creator and in the .sds file in a text editor and cannot pinpoint the settting. Any help would be gratefully received as some of my squadron mates wish to fly with mods on in Deathmatch missions hosted on a DServer.

I thought that Startup.cfg was only for the main game and for enabling mods on a local level. Thanks anyway though Coconut, I'll try it that way now.

sorry that i have to revive this post, but i cant get mods enabled on my dserver. i run coop mssions and want a few mods active (better draw distance) but i already tried coconuts solution.

i assumed i had to ad the line in the startup.cfg of my dserver? so far it doesnt work, my server doesnt show in the server list, when i have mods activated.

what am i missing?

There should already be a "modes = 0" line in the [KEY = system] section of startup.cfg. Change that line to "modes = 1" and ensure there is no other "modes" line.

Or you can just turn it on/off in the Settings => Game => Allow Mods tick box and then re-start both your game and your DServer ?
