JG27*Kornezov Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) Here I add Additionnal considerations: That is why it is pointless in my opinion to ever count to play competetively online alone. Always in a team. Being in a team changes the equation giving you tactical flexibility. The reason is that priority 1 is to get the kill very fast. To do it if you are alone you need the element of surprise. You need to bounce the guy. If the opponent is good enough there is very, very low probability that you can hit him in this type of attacks. Well people who fly with me know that i will myself commit .But i will have somebody to cover me if anything goes wrong. Actually what Sheriffs does without explicitely explaining it is the following. He tries to position for the bounce, taking the best possible angle having a low deflexion shot. If the bandits spots him; he does not attack again. He climbs away as if he is not interested anymore. However he closely observes the bandit to get thr moment the bandit no longef considers you a threat. If that moment comes he attacks again. Trying to sneak in with very very good approach. Colninni to my taste at your passes you go for very difficult angles resulting in low probability shots. Howeved if the bandit is good this is what you can get. Things are actually very complicated. Because you have to judge the relative energies. The goal of energy fighting is not to maintain simply the energy, but to drain the opponent's energy. So basically it is complicatx because from thd attacker point of view he has to regain energy and climb. However doing so the bandits does the same. As when the new attack comes he is abble to turn into the attack at corner's speed. Meanwhile he is typing/screaming for help and it comes very fast. So basically the most important thing and skill is to assess the opponent's skill and the relative skill. And yeah ro be efficient yoy need to know how to commit. My squad is recruiting if you want to know more you can pm. Edited April 8, 2018 by JG27_Kornezov 1 1
=EXPEND=13SchwarzeHand Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) Your speed chart looks very off. The La5 should outperform the F4 at lower altitudes up to 3k. All other speeds also look very off. You can check here One more detail. Your energy is determined by the sum of your kinetic and your potential energy. In simplified terms your kinetic energy is your speed and your potential energy is your altitude. So you can have a higher energy state even if you are lower or vice versa. And what Korny said, best way to keep the energy is to get him in one pass. The most important skill for any energy fighter pilot is gunnery, b/c nothing conserves your energy more than a one kill pass Edited April 8, 2018 by =EXPEND=SchwarzeDreizehn 1 1
JG27*Kornezov Posted April 8, 2018 Posted April 8, 2018 (edited) swarze i am going to write this on my wall. nothing conserves your energy more than one kill pass. this video is dedicated for the complete beginner. I think i complicated a bit more giving more advanced material. Nevertheless flying like that is a good start. However in my opinion the best way is to go fly in team with people. Historically beginners were asked to stay welded wing and by simply repeating the maneuvets they learn them. Repeating by watching youtube video is way more difficult. And actually shwriff he is not alone he has feraphic :). But people, listen when you join MP. For example wings of liberty. Go to the TS channel. Join present yoursekf tell immediately if you are new and i assure you there will be people who will help you out. There is a world of difference between the forum relations and in game relations. If you just read the forums you may think that this a toxic community but it is not. Edited April 8, 2018 by JG27_Kornezov 1
