I see you guys talking about them though. How do I join the super secret club that gets to use the RDF? Main controls: Radio receiver: channel toggle. Right above Eject. Only needed for p-39. switch to compass Edited April 19, 2018 by Plurp
-TBC-AeroAce Posted April 19, 2018 Posted April 19, 2018 Not sure about the A20 one working or not. What I want is tuneable stations, that way if you can compare the heading to two stations you can get a rough position fix. That would add a whole level of fun.

Sokol1 Posted April 20, 2018 Posted April 20, 2018 (edited) The 360 degrees instrument (at right of pilot seat) show the manually (IRL) adjust of azimuth of the loop antenna necessary for tune the radio beacon station. In game this is done automatically, can see the loop antenna rotate in external camera. Looks like their needle are working inverted, see the labels: set to 0 for homing. In game flying toward tower needle point 180. Don't see value for the indication of this 360 degrees instrument, because for the needle of the instrument bellow clock, the tower act as "magnet" and not a radio signal (radiating in 360 degrees), so is just matter of keep this instrument needle in the middle and when this needle start slip all for left or right you are over the signal tower. IRL things work a bit different, the instrument (bellow clock) show only the deviation from the signal source, not if are flying in or out tower. Edited April 20, 2018 by Sokol1
