Game launches then immediately exits whilst still on the loading screen with no error (BoK)

Just purchased the game (thanks to Tim Stone on RPS mentioning it existed) and thought I'd whirl it up after downloading and installing it but it just won't start. After clicking play the il2.exe starts but only stays on the loading screen for two seconds before cutting back to the desktop as if nothing happened. Are there any log files? I've looked in the data folder and the log folder is empty.

I've restarted... still no luck. Would really appreciate any help...

 

Nevermind, I updated my geforce drivers and it gets me to the login screen now. Unfortunately it won't connect... not exactly the smoothest experience.

 

Awesome. got in and it worked a treat. Niiiiiice!
