69th_chuter Posted April 1, 2018 Posted April 1, 2018 As an almost exclusive tanker, I've done it quite a bit. I've used HE (spectacular results but lower velocity in panzer means greater difficulty of hitting target), AP (shot the canopy off of an IL2 recently which resulted only in alarming the pilot) as well as MG (good against any lighter fighter). Good pilots, however, don't become targets and the fight becomes a one-sided version of dodge ball (how fun is that? ).
