Venturi Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Most of the MP servers show "0" when it comes to ping. Even after waiting for a period of time. Why? 1
1./KG4_OldJames Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 +1 for this question. I have this showing, although the actual connections are fine when I join a server.
=69.GIAP=Shvak Posted April 3, 2018 Posted April 3, 2018 +1 for the question Site rarely shows ping to servers, most sit at 0 and are red.
Neopuron Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Chances are in most cases they are being block by the local server hosting the missions or their personal hardware/software firewalls. Some ISPs block ping as well. Perhaps even the IL-2 server lobby could be using a unique way to ping as well. I just stood a new local server today at the casa here. Connected with my client machine and wasn't pulling a ping from the IL-2 Lobby. But could see them from the local server here in the Dserver. Ill dig into it some more; at some point. If its something I can correct from my hardware/software here, Ill certainly share my findings. Neopuron

Neopuron Posted April 13, 2018 Posted April 13, 2018 Seems to have been DNS related for me (maybe more). I created a firewall rule for ICMP in Windows firewall, no go. Updated the router with the documented port forwarding, still no go. Updated my DNS to use Googles, instead of my provided. And blam, connect with my client and 0ms in the green. Now back to mission building. hope this helps. Neopuron 1
