Zargos Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 Hello, I'm asking a little help from you about the "bump layer". I know that it this file that gives the fianl aspect of the surface of the plane : ondulation of the metal sheets, bumps of the rivets heads, etc. And I've also a idea of how to proceed and I've also made some tests and I have noticed that the background color is important (I tried to change it and get wierd résults). But I don't know how to start : - what is the default background color to use - how color affect the render Once I'm started I think I could manage to do it. I just need a kick off help ! Thanls in advance.
Raptorattacker Posted March 29, 2018 Posted March 29, 2018 (edited) Start with 50% grey and put your info layers over onto that, together with your 'cloud rendering' for the panel unevennes... when you're happy, flatten it and save as n. to get the bumpmap. Black is indent, white is relief in the end result. Edited March 29, 2018 by Raptorattacker
